Okay, it’s time to boycott palm oil.

Thanks to Julia Felice and Amber Gilewski for inspiring me to finally, finally boycott palm oil. If you’re vegan and you’re not yet avoiding it, now is a good time to start. If you don’t know why, please read this factsheet from Rainforest Action Network.

Harvest Award makes a buttery corn oil spread that’s vegan and palm-oil free, that we could use as an alternative to Earth Balance. But it’s not available yet in Ithaca – we have to ask GreenStar Natural Foods Market and other shops to carry it.

If you have ideas for other buttery spread alternatives, please post a comment – thanks!
