Doggy Talk

Last week a man named Michael Upchurch was doing his route on the back of a garbage truck in Muncie, Indiana, when he heard someone crying. He found a six-week-old puppy in a recycling bag: “This ole’ doggy here hollering, ‘Save me.’ I guess in doggy talk.”

After the pup was revived, he and his wife adopted him/her (not sure – the article uses “it”). Garby was thrown away along with other dogs because the woman who was apparently breeding them thought they were dead. In fact, they had low blood sugar.

Lessons learned:

  1. Do not throw away puppies. Care for them and give them needed medical attention.
  2. Stop breeding puppies and buying puppies from breeders, and adopt all the dogs who need homes.
  3. You never know what you’ll find in the trash.
  4. Animals might not be able to speak as easily as we can, but it’s pretty clear what they’re saying.
